How to set up Per Person Sharing rates

Once you've set up your room types and seasons, you enter your rates in your NightsBridge Setup.

A per person sharing rate is when the rate changes depending on the number of guests staying in the unit or room.

A unit rate is when you charge the same rate for a unit or room regardless of the number of guests staying in the room.

Open your NightsBridge Setup

Please look at our articles on Setup if you need more information on how to do this.

Click on Step 3 Setup Rates

  • Your seasons need to be set up before you can enter your rates.
  • Please look at our articles on How to set up Seasons if you need more information.

Click on the room type name

In this example, we are capturing the rates for the Deluxe Apartment.

Choose Per person sharing

  • Click on the drop down to choose How do you charge for this room?
  • Select Per person sharing

Do you offer different rates on Weekdays and Weekend days?

Choose No for Do you have different rates at weekends?

Click on the relevant meal plan to open rates

In this example, we are selecting the self-catering meal plan.

Enter your rates per season, per person

  • Enter your Single rate. This is the total amount if one person is staying.
  • Enter your Per person sharing rate. This is the amount per person when there are 2 adults sharing.
  • Enter your 3rd person rate. This is the extra amount the third person will pay on top of the total for 2 people.
  • Enter your 4th person rate. This is the extra amount the 4th person will pay on top of the total for 3 people.
  • Enter your 5th+ person rate. This is the extra amount the 5th+ person will pay on top of the total for 4+ people.

Click to Save your rates.

In this example, the rates payable per day will be calculated like this:

  • Single person: R3,000
  • Two people sharing: R1,700 x 2 = R3,400
  • Three people sharing: R3,400 + R300 = R3,700
  • Four people sharing: R3,700 + R200 = R3,900
  • Five people sharing: R3,900 + R100 = R4,000
  • Additional people sharing: R100 per person up to max occupancy.
  1. Choose Yes for Do you have different rates at weekends?
  2. Tick the boxes next to Weekend Days to indicate which days weekend rates apply. In this example, the weekend rates apply on Fridays and Saturdays.

Click on the relevant meal plan to open rates

In this example, we are selecting the self-catering meal plan.

Enter your rates per season, on weekdays and weekends

  • Enter your Single rate. This is the amount for one person only.
  • Enter your Per person sharing rate. This is the amount per person when there are 2 adults sharing.
  • Enter your 3rd person rate. This is the amount for the third person.
  • Enter your 4th person rate. This is the amount for the fourth person.
  • Enter your 5th+ person rate. This the amount for the 5th person, and for the 6th, 7th person etc. up to max occupancy.

Click to Save your rates.

Rates payable based on per person sharing

In this example, the rates payable per week day will be calculated like this:

  • Single person: R3,000
  • Two people sharing: R1,700 x 2 = R3,400
  • Three people sharing: R3,400 + R300 = R3,700
  • Four people sharing: R3,700 + R200 = R3,900
  • Five people sharing: R3,900 + R100 = R4,000
  • Additional people sharing: R100 per person up to max occupancy.

Do you have any other meal plans?

  • Click on the next meal plan. In this example, we would like to add rates to the Bed & Breakfast meal plan.
  • Repeat the steps to add and save the rates per season.

Publish your rates

Click to Publish your rates.

Your rates are updated.

Test your rates

  • Go  to your Booking Form on your Owner's Login/Bookings/Online Booking to test the accuracy of the rates you've set up.

Your Room Type will only be bookable online once you've added your photos. Please look at our articles on how to add room type images using the Image Uploader. if you need more information on how to do that.
