How to add a user login for your NightsBridge Calendar

Giving each team member their own unique NightsBridge login is the best way to keep your calendar secure while managing your property. Individual user logins allow you to track who made specific booking changes and assign exact user rights to staff members, without ever needing to share passwords.

Once you add a new user through your online property menu, that staff member will automatically appear in the user drop-down list whenever someone opens your installed PC Bridge desktop software.

1. Do you need a new User Group?

A user group must be assigned to each user login. You'll be able to select from two system default user groups, any user groups you've previously created, or if you need to create a new user group, do that first.

2. Head over to Users & Security

Users can only be added when logged in with the Admin user and password.

Select Users & Security from your Property Menu.

3. Add your new user

Click on the + Add User button.

Choose a User Group from the drop-down menu to give your staff member the right level of access.

If you haven't created any custom groups yet, don't worry. You don't have to take a detour to build them from scratch. We’ve already set up two default options for you:

  • All Permissions: Great for managers or senior staff who need full access to rates, reports, and settings.
  • Some Permissions: Perfect for front desk or reception staff who just need to view the calendar, check guests in, and make basic booking updates.

If you do want to create a highly specific group of your own, you can easily do that first using our How to add a User Group guide.

Fill in the required details and create a password for your staff member.

  • Make sure the password is unique - each user must have a different password.
  • The password should be 6 characters or longer.

Add an email address and cell phone number. You are welcome to use either individual contact details or shared ones. Just make sure whoever is logging in has quick access to that phone or inbox to retrieve their secure OTP code.

Yes, you can share contact details! Multiple team members can use the exact same cell phone number or email address. This is incredibly handy if you want login alerts or system notifications to go straight to a shared team space, like your reception desk, front office, or a general inbox (like info@).

4. Give it a quick test

Testing online

To make sure the credentials are working, sign out and test the new login details online using your property's BBID number and the new user's password.

🌐 Test your user login here

Testing on your PC Bridge desktop app

Open your installed PC Bridge software on your desktop computer.

  • Click on the User drop-down menu on the sign-in screen.
  • Select the newly added user from the list and enter their password to log in.
