Taking payments securely and easily is key to keeping your business running smoothly and helping you sleep better at night. If you need a guest to pay online, or if you need to process a payment with them directly, you can easily generate a credit card link. This feature is available if you use NightsBridge Pay (excluding Lite) or another alternative payment gateway. Let's walk through how to quickly navigate to the Booking and Payment Status page, choose the safest 3D-Secure settings, and share the link with your guest.
1. Head to the Booking and Payment Status page
Finding the right page shouldn't be a hassle. To get started, you will need to open the Booking and Payment Status page for your guest. You can do this by following these steps:

Once you have the page open, simply click the 'View Credit Card Link' button.
Note: If you are accessing this from the 'View Account' page on your calendar instead, the button will say 'Create Payment Link'.
3. Choose your 3D-Secure (3DS) settings
Next, a pop-up will ask if you want to enable 3D-Secure (3DS). We highly recommend clicking 'Yes'. This adds an essential layer of security by requiring the guest to approve the payment via a PIN or their mobile banking app.
What if I click 'No'?
If a specific guest is struggling to receive their bank's One-Time Pin (OTP), you can click 'No' to generate a non-3D Secure link as an alternative backup. Just keep in mind that this carries higher security risks and higher costs for South African credit cards, so it is best used only when absolutely necessary.
4. Copy or Open the link
Now your link is ready! You have two simple options for how to use it:
- Click 'Copy': Choose this to copy the URL so you can easily paste it into an email or WhatsApp message. The guest can then open it and securely enter their own card details.
- Click 'Open': Choose this if the guest is standing right in front of you, or if you have their credit card information on hand and need to process the payment yourself.
A quick security note:
To protect everyone's personal information, the credit card link you generate will automatically expire after 3 days.
