PayBridge 3D is NightsBridge's simple and secure solution for automating and receiving 3D-Secure ONLY online payments by offering card payments online. PayBridge 3D also offers in-house payments using a secure credit card link.
As only 3D-Secure payments are processed, this means the guest needs to approve and authorise the payment with their bank in order for the payment to be successful.

Enabling this service means NightsBridge will only process 3D Secure credit cards for bookings you receive from your NightsBridge booking engine and all channels you are linked to.
When PayBridge 3D is activated for your property, it will:
- disable the ability to generate non-3D Secure payment links.
- disable the option to process non-3D transactions from your NightsBridge Booking Engine.
- disable the processing of non-3D credit cards sent from channels.
Why should you offer card payments to guests?
- When guests can book and pay online, it may increase conversion as it creates a seamless and more efficient process for the guest.
- By offering cards as a payment option, it also means you will get paid within a set time.
- If a guest has already paid for their stay before checking in then they are more likely to be committed to taking up their booking, especially for Booking.com bookings.
Who can/should use PayBridge 3D?
The service is aimed at properties that:
- Do not have a face-to-face check-in to authenticate a guest's card when they arrive for their stay.
- Do not want non-3D Secure payments to reduce the risk of fraud.
- Do not want to pay the increased fees for non-3D Secure transactions.

How does PayBridge 3D differ from PayBridge?
- All transactions made online will be 3D-Secure transactions only. The client will not be able to take any payments which are not 3D Secure.
- While properties don't need to meet their guests face to face or collect and store documents, they may need to do some extra manual work (whitelisting the NightsBridge link on Booking.com (which Support will assist them with) and contacting their guest to arrange alternative payment methods when the guest doesn't authenticate their payment on Booking.com).
What do you need to know about how PayBridge 3D works?
- The payment authentication process for PayBridge 3D is only relevant to bookings from Booking.com.
- You will need to do some extra manual work (contacting the guest directly to arrange an alternative payment method) in cases where:
- the guest's authentication fails;
- the guest's card is not enrolled for 3D Secure; or
- the guest doesn't attempt to authenticate their card at all.

On which booking sites can PayBridge 3D collect the deposit?
- Booking.com
- Own website
- Social Media pages
- Google Hotels
On which booking sites can PayBridge 3D collect the balance?
PayBridge 3D can be used to collect the balance payment on any booking (plus any extras) where the channel has taken a deposit of less than 100%.
Corporates and agents
- PayBridge 3D will facilitate some of the payments and invoicing on your behalf once you click on the payment link on the voucher you receive from a corporate or agent.
- If a corporate or agent pays via a virtual card, and PayBridge 3D is not activated for your property and you cannot process virtual cards via a card machine, you will not be able to get the full payment for the guest.
Please note: if you see you have received a payment via PayBridge, it doesn't necessarily mean that PayBridge or PayBridge 3D is activated on your account (e.g. if it's a corporate or agent that has transferred the funds via PayBridge).
