What do I do if my booking link does not show on Google Hotels?

Google Hotels has some specific requirements before they allow you to link your NightsBridge.

There are number of reasons why your booking link request might be rejected:

1. You have not yet claimed and verified your Google My Business profile

You need a verified Google My Business profile for your property to complete this process.

2. Your Google My Business profile category is not set to 'Hotel'

This new link only works for Google My Business profiles that are set to the 'Hotel' category. Other categories (Vacation Rentals, Restaurant, etc.) will not work and your link request will be rejected.

To confirm the category you use is set to 'Hotel':

  1. Sign in to Google My Business 
  2. Next to your primary category, click Edit.    
    • To edit your primary category: select your new category as 'Hotel'.
    • To add another category: Click Add another category. Then, select 'Hotel' as category you want to add.
  3. After you make your changes, click Apply.

NB: The prerequisites to be listed as a 'Hotel' on Google are that you have a front desk, on-site staff, and can take walk-in customers. More details can be found here.

3. Your Google listing information and your NightsBridge Setup information do not match

Google and NightsBridge need to have the same information.

To ensure that the linking process happens as smoothly as possible, please double check that the following items match on both Google and NightsBridge:

  • Property Name.
  • GPS coordinates (location pin on Google maps).
  • Physical Address of the property.
  • Phone number (we allow different variations of numbers with country and area codes.)

4. Your Google My Business profile is missing content

If you haven't done so already, please check your Google My Business profile to make sure that all your content (pictures, address, amenities, etc.) is up to date.
