How do Agoda payments work?

Welcoming international guests through an Online Travel Agency like Agoda is a fantastic way to grow your property management business. However, navigating the different ways booking platforms pay you can sometimes feel like trying to untangle a knot. We want to make sure your financial administration feels simple, so you can sleep better at night knowing your funds are secure.

Agoda offers four different ways to receive your money. Read through our guide to understand exactly how each payment method works.

Keep in mind that:

  • You NEED to have credit card facilities to link with Agoda.
  • The amount that you are taking off of Agoda's credit card is the booking amount less Agoda's commission (usually 15%). This amount reflects on your booking confirmation email.
  • For urgent payment issues, you can contact Agoda on [email protected] or using the information from their Partner Hub.

This information is also available directly on the Agoda Partner Hub: What are the different payment methods and how do they work?

The four payment options available on Agoda are:

Expand or collapse content 1. Virtual card (UPC)

Agoda will securely send the card details to NightsBridge for automatic processing when you opt in to automatic processing.

Agoda provides credit card details for payment (Mastercard). This is called UPC (Unique Payment Card) on their system.

  • Payment can only be taken on the day AFTER guest arrival.
  • You have up to 150 days after the arrival date to take payment before the card details expire.
  • Agoda's credit card details are sent with the booking.

Expand or collapse content 2. UPC on ePass (Electronic Payment Administration Self Service)

Agoda will pay you via a Virtual card while deducting commission for any bookings where the guest has paid you directly. This method does not allow NightsBridge to automatically process your Virtual Cards, as the card details are not sent to us.

  • Agoda provides credit card details for payment (Mastercard).
  • Payment can only be taken on the day of DEPARTURE.
  • Agoda's credit card details are not sent with the booking to NightsBridge
  • Log in to YCS and go to ePass.

What is an e-Card

An e-Card is a physical credit card used to charge payout batches including several bookings. It is linked to ePass, the invoice system for managing booking payments on Agoda. Please take note:

  • Agoda e-Cards can only be used to charge at POS (Point of Sale) terminals classified as Lodging - Hotels, Motels, Resorts, or Central Reservation Services.
  • The e-Card is not compatible with POS systems that require 3D Secure (3Ds) authentication. To process these charges, you'll need a POS terminal that can charge non 3D secure transactions.

If you do not charge a booking payout within 150 days of its departure date, you won't be able to claim the earning of that booking.

  • Guest settles payment directly with the property
  • There are no card details provided to us.
  • No rate will be displayed on your calendar - check the rate on Agoda
  • Contact Agoda if you have any issue with Hotel Collect payments or if you wish to opt out
Expand or collapse content 4. Telex transfer (bank transfer)
  • Agoda collects the payment from the guest.
  • They make payment over to you, via bank transfer, around 30 days after the booking.
  • Payment will be made to you when the banking details have been uploaded and approved by Agoda.com.
  • Approval of you bank details can take up to 30 days.
