How to write clear directions to your property in your NightsBridge Setup

Driving directions to your property are included in the booking confirmation received by your guests. Clear, accurate directions will ensure a smooth journey, even late at night or in difficult weather conditions.

Your directions are set up in Step 1, Property Details in NightsBridge's Basic Setup. Please look at our article on how to complete the Basic Setup if you need more information.

You can either write directions to your property from scratch or you can adapt the directions from Google Maps.

Write your directions using these guidelines

Guideline Example
  • Start your directions with a well known landmark such as an airport.
  • On exiting the CT International airport turn left onto the N2 / Somerset West.
  • Describe the approach from alternative directions.
  • From Cape Town, head north on the N1 towards Paarl.
  • From Worcester, head south on the N1 towards the Huguenot tunnel.

  • Indicate approximately how long it will take along key legs of the journey.
  • Continue on the N1 for 50 km (approximately 30 minutes) until you reach Exit 43.
  • Mention any unusual conditions on the roads.
  • After Exit 43, you'll drive on a gravel road for 10 km, until you reach the farm gate.

  • Explain how to identify your property.
  • Cosy Bed & Breakfast is the last entrance on the left, with a B&B sign on the gate.

Adjust directions from Google Maps

  • Download directions to your property from Google Maps.
  • Adapt the contents so that it covers the guidelines for clear directions, including the starting point.

Example of well written directions

Directions to Robertson Guest House coming from George on the N2:

Take the N2 south out of George, towards Mossel Bay.

After 20 km, take Exit 45 to Stormsvlei on the right.

Follow the R62 for 100km to the Bonnievale Cellar on your right.

Allow about 90 minutes for this leg as there are ongoing roadworks along the way.

At the Bonnievale Cellar turn left into Winery Drive and follow the road to a T-junction, about 5 km.

At the T-junction turn left onto the R317 heading towards Robertson.

Pass Van Loveren wine estate and continue for 30 km until you cross the Berg River Bridge.

After the bridge, turn left at the river stone wall, with a sign saying Robertson Guest House.
