The following lesson will show you how to create new seasons in the NightsBridge Setup.
Seasons tell us which dates your rates apply to. You can set up multiple seasons with different rates charged for each season, e.g. higher rates for high / peak seasons when you are more busy (such as school holidays or during Summer) and lower rates for mid / low seasons when you are less busy (such as school terms or during Winter). Or if you don't charge different rates for different times during the year, you can just set up one long season with the same rates charged for the entire period.
Seasons are usually set up for longer time periods, like several weeks or months. If you want to set up different rates for shorter time periods, like a few days at a time, then you will need to set up Override Rates. Log into the NightsBridge Setup
If you do not know how to access your NightsBridge Setup, please see our tutorial on how to login into NightsBridge.
Click on Step 3: Setup Rates
Click on Set Seasons
Click on Add to create a new season
New season will appear under existing seasons
In this example, you will notice that the Start date of the new season automatically begins the day after the End date of the previous season.
The Start date of a season cannot be manually changed.
This is because seasons have to run concurrently, i.e. a new season has to immediately follow the previous season.
You cannot skip a date between seasons and dates cannot overlap.
Edit the End date of the new season
- To change the End date of the new season, click on the button with the calendar icon. This will open a drop down calendar.
- Use the left and right arrows to change the month and click on the date to select it.
Repeat these steps to create as many new seasons as you like.
Set up the seasons for those dates where you have already decided what your rates are.
We recommend that you set up seasons for at least 12 months into the future to enable guests to book in advance.
NOT too far in advance -- we can only sell up to two years in advance from today's date.
Click on Save
This will take you back to the main menu of the NightsBridge Setup (Version 6).
