This tutorial will explain what the invoice account is and how it can help you with keeping track of your invoices, accounts and payments.
How can I find the main invoice account?
Once you've opened a booking, you will see that there is a section called Account Information. This where you will find a summary of all the information relating to to the main account, or the account on which the booking is linked.
To open the main invoice account, you will then need to click on the button titled "View invoice/payment details" - the button with a calculator icon.
When would I need to use the invoice account?
You will probably find that any time you get a booking, you will receive a deposit or prepayment of some kind that you would need to add to the account to confirm the booking. Read more about adding payments here.
There will also be occasions where you would need to send your guest or an agent a Proforma invoice to get paid. Sometimes they may even insist on a tax invoice before they are able to pay you. You can read more about invoicing here.
You will also be able to use the invoice account in order to construct complex invoices for wedding parties, corporates, etc. by linking multiple items (bookings, extras) into one invoice account. You can read more about moving bookings and extras here.
How can I find the guest invoice account?
You will only have a guest account if you've added an Extra that will be billed to a separate "guest account". Click here to see how to add an extra.
Once you've opened a booking, you will see that there is a section called guest information. This where you will find all the information relating to to the guest account, or the "optional" account on which the extras could be linked.
NOTE: This will only be applicable if you see a star as shown below - meaning you have an extra billed to a separate account.
To open the guest invoice account, you will then need to click on the button titled "View invoice account" - the button with a calculator icon.
